Max Hess will speak at the National Conference of State Liquor Administrators in New Orleans, Louisiana

Max Hess will speak at the 2010 annual conference of the National Conference of State Liquor Administrators (NCSLA) in New Orleans on June 20-24, 2010. Max has been asked to participate in the panel discussion entitled "Have Liquor Boards Lost Their Way? Are They Doing What They Were Set Up To Do?" on June 23, 2010, beginning at 10:45 a.m.

Max has also been asked by NCSLA President Hobert Rupe to serve on the NCSLA's committee charged with drafting a white paper on State measures and practices in the regulation of beverage alcohol. Committee members include Matthew Botting, General Counsel, California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control; Robert Hill, General Counsel, Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control Board and NCSLA Chair for the Southern Region; Vincent O'Brien, Nixon Peabody LLP, New York, New York; and Charles E. Smarr, Brydon, Swearengen & England P.C., Jefferson City, Missouri and past NCSLA President and formerly head of the Missouri Division of Liquor Control. A draft of the paper will be presented to President Rupe and the NCSLA at the conference in New Orleans for their consideration.
